This kit operates using the new Captive Bolt Activator 50 Pack cartridges. The previous activator system has been replaced with the simplified MaxxT colour-coded range (Green, Yellow and Red). Blue cartridges are discontinued. What Is a Captive Bolt Slaughter Kit? A captive bolt device uses a gas-driven cartridge to propel a steel bolt forward and instantly render the animal unconscious when correctly positioned. No bullets or free projectiles are discharged. For cattle, place the device at the intersection of imaginary lines drawn from the base of each horn to the opposite eye. Hold the device firmly against the skull before activation. Placement angles differ slightly between species; operators should be trained before use. Safe Use Reminder A secondary or terminal procedure such as sticking/exsanguination must follow stunning.
